Cambridge Valley Flying Club was organized in April, 1963, to promote interest in general aviation, give instruction in flying and maintenance of aircraft, purchase necessary equipment for the use of members and assist members with upgrading their pilot ratings. The Flying Club is based at Chapin Field (1B8) which is a public use airport with 2 grass runways. http://www.airnav.com/airport/1B8 There are two basic levels of membership: Field Members base their personally owned aircraft at Chapin and pay Field Dues which support the maintenance of the airport. Club Members, in addition to Field Dues, pay Club Dues which gives them access to aircraft owned by the Club. Members reserve aircraft using an on-line system, www.FlightSchedulePro.com which also has an automated phone system for scheduling aircraft. Club meetings are held at Chapin Field on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm.
